I need 2 things. A site to learn coding, and for that site to be free.
I took a python 101 class in university, but failed it after the CompSci advisor told me not to bother trying to get into a tech major.
Fast forward a few years and my Political Science major ain't doing me many favors. I'm stuck with dead-end careers as my only options, and an extra rent's worth of student loans to pay.
Wanna learn to code so at least I can get paid a living wage to hate my life.

I haven't seen many sites for learning step by step instead of through tutorial after tutorial. So really any learning resources would be appreciated, thx g/u/rls.

>>959607 what you mean by step by step instead of tutorial after tutorial
Can't really recommend anything either way I started with code academy until I got the basics and then just tried making something with the python docs and stack overflow until I figured it out

projects will make shit stick in your brain better as you put them to applicable use rather than memorizing meaningless functions and classes and shit. Doesn't need to be crazy projects either just start easy

When I was learning I just found a couple of books and read through them, since they usually offer a complete experience.
Besides that I heard CS50 is pretty good, although haven't tried it myself
