What method does danger/u/ use to tag your posts with an ID?

| There's a little gnome family that has an old IBM ThinkPad hooked up to Danger/u/'s server. When you make a post, one of the server gnomes (whichever is on shift when you post) pics their favourite colour at that particular moment. This is a highly respected job in the gnome kingdom, and they're very grateful to Pref for the opportunity.
