I noticed today scrolling in firefox stopped working.
turns out an update 2 days ago broke compatibility with x-mouse button control.
the cool thing is both parties already acknowledged this very specific issue. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/x-mouse-button-control-firefox-110
this implies there are enough firefox employees who use xmbc to notice it so soon.
pretty nifty situation I think.

Update: It was xmbc team/user who discovered the issue with nightly firefox builds back in december. https://forums.highrez.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=23412#p23412
I don't know. I guess it's less cool to know that it went nearly 2 months without being fixed.
Aw man.

What's the cons of using Opera? I've been thinking switching from Firefox for a while now and once you get used to some stuff it seems a solid upgrade.

>>942212 Con: A Chinese consortium purchased the company behind the browser in 2016 for $600 million. The leading buyer was Qihoo 360, a search and security company.
This might alarm some people, as China isn’t exactly known as a bastion of digital security. However, all companies are listed publically, meaning they must adhere to strict regulations when it comes to privacy. Moreover, Opera is still based in Norway, where GDPR and other EU laws are in force.

>>9185bf Now i like Opera a little less. Still built-in vpn is way too useful for me to stop using it, even if it gets too slow sometimes.
