I am thinking a ryzen 5 without a gpu will do. What do you think?

I mean it depends on the game 3d games are likely to be harder to run

Getting a mid tier Ryzen with built in GPU is probably a good idea just don't buy a cheap dedicated GPU if you want to upgrade later you can just switch to a good dedicated card

>>d9c6bb Games like a heavy moded Skyrim is probably no go, but most of the games I want should be fine.

I think you are fine with a ryzen 3200g and idk, 8 to 12 gb of ram. (buy the fastest ram you could affort if you are using amd integrated gpu). and thats it.

>>933279 i have maybe unpopular opinion, but multimedia laptop from 2015 with 5200U, 840M, 8GB RAM can easily run hentai games, if it's not modded Cyberpunk or Witcher. (New one of course, these regularly used old devices already probably have problems because of dust or dry thermal paste) If you would be specific which games i can help more.. What is your budget? What Ryzen 5 are you picking? Why you don't want GPU? What is real use of your thought hardware? If hentai, which one?

>>1e47ad Thats also a good idea. Teaching Feeling is the one urge me the most. I have seen some interesting indie 3d hentai labs and live 2d visual novels wanting to try, but I dont remember names.

If you are just looking for 2D japanese RPG maker H games (there are plenty of them) and H visual novel, then >>933432 gave a good advice. Also, A hand-me-down laptop with 4 cores cpu and 4~8GB of RAM would suffice.
If you want to try 3D games like Koikatsu, Custom Maid, and Honey select, then you'll need a GPU.

Even if you need a GPU, you don't need the 500-800$ one. For reference, I have a 6 years old PC with i5-6500 CPU, rx470 GPU, and 16GB of ram. It can handle pretty much all H games that I know, including 3D ones like honey select and custom maid (haven't tried honey select 2). I can also emulate gacha/mobile game while I am at it.

pretty sure modern integrated graphics is enough, intel 8th gen igpu was equivalent to ps3 graphics power, nowadays it's equivalent to at least ps4... ryzen with igpu/apu is rdna based also btw there's new Linus Tech Tips exactly about buying cheap config https://youtu.be/1BLU-tnFOXk

>>933486 it can run some 3D games too ^^ but really limited.. at 1366x768 resolution with max. Details it was able to run gta online on 30 fps, pubg on 10-20 fps, cs:go around 40 fps etc. In 2017/18.. later was performance rapidly going down and now it can barely use OBS for recording browser content. I don't know your named hentai games, but i believe that it's have chance to being able to work with them in slow frame rate..

HD graphic of 5200U is really weak.. when i started it first time without graphic drivers.. Day of Defeat: Source was showing around 10 FPS, after include 840M it get to 60 FPS. But maybe integrated graphics are better now, but graphical chip was big upgrade in this case, also 4 to 8GB RAM was also a lot important. Also PC are different than laptop.. but i recommend to check what things are.. btw.. for hentai games is good laptop.. for bed reasons~

>>933709 all 3D H games that I named was released 5 years ago, in theory it should be fine. But at the same time, they are poorly optimized compared to AAA games.

Even the latest integrated graphics lack shading of normal GPU. You'd be unironically better with a 10 year old 650Ti
