Windows 11 spying

| So news of this as well as other shady practices with the os locking you out of installing Linux, messing with the harddrive and I would not be surprised if they turn windows into a LiVe SeRvIcE since there where hints years ago microshit wanted to do that.

| Anyway, the weird thing is your CONFIDENTIALITY, when you don't know about it, you think it's all nonsense, but when you start to look into the matter, it can even scare you...

| True that, each time I boot windows, it afterwards defaults windows for the boot instead of grub that is used to select the desired boot even thou I disabled secure boot and fast boot

| Windows updates tend to a. change the boot order of my drives to put windows first and b. enable secure boot, almost every time. i wish i didn't need windows to run a few games that i play to keep in touch with my friends

| >>880341 drop down to win 10 it at least doesn't seem to fuck your boot order

| >>880341 just use ghost specter, windows ame, or Revision and make sure windows updates are off.

| >>880475 it's sad that this is the answer we get every release.

>Windows 8 sucks, the UI Looks like mobile!
Just downgrade to 7, at least it is not as bad
>Windows 10 has so much bloat!
Just downgrade to 8, at least it is not as bad
>Windows 11 Spies on you!
Just downgrade to 10, at least it is not as bad

| >>880775 I mean it's more commonly taken than switch to Linux but it's basically your only option

| >>880807 the answer of 7 applies to everything still. I don't know amy software that had dropped support for W7

| >>880807
>Just downgrade to 8, at least it is not as bad
NO ONE ever said this lol

| >>880807 >Just downgrade to 8, at least its not as bad My fucking sides lmao

| >>881091 to be fair it was 8.1 people were recommending

| >>880945 Microsoft themselves ayy

| >>881095 so? Everything else still works as it did

| >>880945
The latest version of Node and Python can't run on Windows 7. It's what made me upgrade to 10.

>Why not use Linux
I love my video games, sorry.

| >>881356 most games can run on Linux these days but I feel that, some haven't updated their EAC to work and some just don't like Linux/steam deck

| >>881402 a lot of old games have issues

| I'm curious what games you have issues with it's not that surprising that old games might have issues since it seems like wine dev time is mostly focusing on new games or moving to the windows pe format these days
