What would you say is a decent entry level build <500usd?

i got a pc with a 2400g and no gpu laying around that was deffinatly cheaper then that and runs anything i'd like it too so just get whetever apu is apropriate. (iirc ram isn't as important for intel apus, but should be considered on amd)

>>851014 ram speed is more important on amd CPU because it affects some internal clock speeds, but any apu will probably benefit from faster ram since that's what they use as video memory

This system is about the same one I currently have: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bTZCzf
The APU isn't enough for a lot of games I want to play but it should be enough to start with. I'm about to get a new GPU once prices lower a bit more.
What games are you hoping to play?

>>851096 RAM speed does fuck all for Ryzen cpus. Don't waste your money on RAM.

>>851241 infinity fabric clock is 1/2 of ram speed so it literally does more than fuck all

>>851140 I want to play a variety of video games. Games like Elden Ring and Ace Combat 7 that are new but feel retro. I want to play old games like GTA San Andreas/IV and Fallout New Vegas/Skyrim and mod them to make them look and feel brand new. I also want to run console emulators (PCSX2, RPCS3, Yuzu/Ryujinx) so I can play their games without buying more hardware (PC master race FTW).

>>851140 that looks decent, only don't forget to add a monitor, which starts at 100 bucks. and drop the fractal design case for a cheaper one. I have one of those and I feel cheated, it's literally just a metal box. not sure why the micro ATX too, unless you want a small PC for aesthetic reason.
oh and apparently you can run elden ring with integrated graphics what the fuck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TAayAQ3nKQ
rip my RTX just a paperweight now who even needs this shit

(in case the irony wasn't clear, you probably still wouldn't want to drive elden ring or RPCS3 with integrated graphics. but decent GPU would easily double that price)

>>851608 You're right. At the very least I want to get the base GTX 1050 used. Ideally I want the GTX 1060 (6GB) used if the price is right. I'm also going with the i3-10100f and H410m mobo since they're pretty affordable while having okay performance.
