What is the best optimized HTML GUI editor?

| I want to start a basic neocities website for my collections. Where to begin? I want a GUI similar to Word I guess, though I want the code to not be bloated.

| BUMP

| You could try vscode but I'm not sure that's exactly what you're looking for

| BYMP

| Definitely pinegrow.com . It's paid though. For something free I guess there's bluegriffon.org .

If you want my advice though, you might as well learn to code in HTML/CSS properly. There really isn't any good GUI web builder out there, especially if you want something light.

| I learned HTML and CSS by using Notepad++. No plugins or nothin either lol, didn't even know about any before. Just writing code rawdog.

Nowadays I use vscode though, editing stuff live and the !tab command are godsends when making basic HTML pages

| rocketcake, google web creation or open web editor? i forgot their name but basically conpletely libre web editor by google and some open source

| this one. i forgot the other one
https://webdesigner.withgoogle.com/

| >>844062 do you mean CMS or WYSIWYG? CMS is usually having WYSIWYG already inside but it can be replaced. Also are there a lot plugins for it, but code are usually mess. WYSIWYG can be downloaded locally just for making articles, usually it is having just basic tags..

All-in-one solution is probably WordPress if you have no experience

| Ohh wait custom sw with gui for designing elements? It sounds as bad idea

| Having worked with template sites/programs for years, it was faster just to learn html/css. You will feel better without gui

| I used to make sites as a kid with pure HTML and CSS. It's not that hard to get started, but figuring in things like scaling is a nightmare. It's super easy to make some 1990s looking piece of shit, but modern, fancy web dev is far beyond me.

| >>845393 op did say neocities so 90's pos might be the aim

| vim

| >>845393
yeah ahah, 90s clear web design was shit, thank god today we have these beautyful 100MB webpages with scrolling colors all over and a million popups! you can even find the actual content in them if you look hard enough!

| OP here. Microsoft Front page 2003 is the answer. Toddles.
