xubuntu! but i should change to a distro with a more recent kernel, my amd ryzen latop gives me some issues when i boot without a power source. i heard those are fixed in newer kernels so maybe arch does the trick.
linux from scratch is fun, too

Pcheck it out! basically, jou download a bunch os sources and the guide helpa you put together a basic linux "distrĂ³". there's also advanced linux from scratch where you add the desktop, sound...
i think it's nice as a learning experience, but i can be a bit outdated!. i only got halfways through it :( because my laptop + kvm were very slow compiling stuff. i may try it again on my desktop
