This is wrong. Gmail is still accessible via the open standards imap and smtp, supported by many independent non-google apps.

| I think Huawei could easily offer their devices with any google-free rom (what I'd always suggest to do with every device) or even distribute their own (without NSA but chinese backdoors instead lol)
