Using the Soundcloud API in 2019
| maybe using youtube-dl (works on soundcloud tracks) would be an alternative? i don't know how you would do search and other stuff though.

| I wanted to create a console soundcould player in python 3 using the soundcloud python API, but the client requires a CLIENT_ID token to work. To obtain this token, you had to submit your application to souncloud, but they no longer accept requests since ever. What should I do? Do you know any alternatives?
