Spilled water in my laptop today

| So today I knocked my water over my keyboard, what do? I immediately took out the battery and cable, the hard drive, and now it's opened up on a towel with some of those silica gel packs from vitamins and atuff shoved in it. Anything else i can do to dry it out aside from waiting?

| Is it a ThinkPad? If yes then you're fine.

| Set it into rice over 2 days and don't turn it on
Also don't close your pc in the rice.

| If it's lenovo then you're fine, coz i once spilled water on my ideapad, i didnt even turned off, just took a tissue, cleaned while it's working, and nothing happend, i was like "holy shit, nerf lenovo, it's too op"

Captcha: homed dyers brain, i mean wtf mods

| Should have installed linux brah, my linux anti-proprietary laptop can resist a gallon of windows user tears.

| this will sound like bullshit but trust me here

put it in the oven at the lowest setting for a couple hours. OFC take the battery, cmos battery, and harddrive out, but the rest of it should be fine. 200 degrees or so isn't enough to melt plastic or solder or fuck up the computer, but it will dry it out quickly before it corrodes anything.
