It's the usual electronics lottery + seems like a bad shop that you are buying from.
From several mobile phone threads in /tech/, people seems to be very satisfied with chinese brand phones, while IRL I mostly hear troubles from people who use them.

>>408364 Of course you'll hear troubles irl, there are like 1 to 10 good quality making companies in china, so you need to know what you are taking when it comes to china. Also i am now working with an ideapad 310, its been 2 years and nothing happend, everything works well, so i guess that you're right about the lottery
I get the lottery thing, but if you got "bad lottery" the first time you purchased a certain brand, you wouldn't be repeating with it either.

>>407877 memes aside, did you check what HDDs were in those laptops? My friend bought an Asus, he killed like 4 HDDs in the span of a year, they were all Toshibas afaik.

>>407877 There actually are Lenovo shops? Or could it be that you confuse the shops with the producers warranty and service? I have so far only good experience with Lenovo, because I never needed their warranty or service or some shop to fix things. Because their laptops are pretty good to fix on your own. No or rare plastic clips, just screws and better standardized components than in most other cheap "throw away" devices. Btw. I always replace HDDs with SSDs in any Laptop.

>>c0d61a it has been illegal for a warranty to be void because of a torn sticker since at least the 1980s.
