Lightweight music player/streamer?

| I usually play music from youtube on Chrome while gaming/working but that RAM usage can really slow down my computer. Any good program alternatives or should I just not use Chrome.

| You can play internet radio, including radi/u/, in vlc or other media players. If you're on Linux there are command line YouTube clients too

| Actually VLC works fine to play youtube videos if you get a version above 2 (so 3.x.x or 4.x.x). Just put the Youtube url in the open network url (crtl-n) dialog.

| Oh, and you shouldn't use Chrome.

| I didnt know about command line youtube clients. I use Linux now so ima try that out

| mpv with youtube-dl works for me

| I download my music so I can listen to it offline, transfer it to my phone, don't have to worry about logins, etc. the good ol' windows media player never gave me any issues

| Streamlink with vlc, or just buy more ram :p

| Windows Media Player. (Built in Windows). :D
