| Although I know what. I don't entirely agree with that statement: and in fact computers have done a lot of good for humanity. You know what they're good at? Fucking COMPUTING. Computers were really cool (they helped us to launch rockets in the space, with only kilobytes of memory!) until people started trying to cram communication tools into that hellish box and shrink it down to the size of a chocolate bar. which led to the surrogate forms of communication we have now.

The actual issue is, that no one wants make sand actually think. "AI" is nothing but a marketing/propaganda buzzword to sell people mass surveillance, privatization and speculation bubbles as "progress".
Technically we have nothing but large databases appropriated by some companies and throw stochastic (often proprietary) models on them to make vague queries with vague responds. Their usefulness is limited by their owners and users.
