new Android OS recommendations?

| with the recent and upcoming changes/restrictions coming to Android, do any of you have any recommendations for what mobile OS i could try out?
I have a s24 ultra so afaik grapheneOS is out of the question.

| lineageos is the most common choice, it's pretty good (even graphene's based on it).

then you have the many derivatives of lineageos (crDroid, EvolutionX, AncientROM etc.) which are mostly just literally lineage os but with some extra tweaks/features you may or may not care about (mostly button gestures and systemui tweaks).

the only one that actually tries a new look is AncientROM.

and then there's /e/os which is completely deGoogled but a little lacking in polish (imho).

| clarification about one bit, i am a shithead and grapheneos is not based on lineage (although i swear i read somewhere that it was or at least some components of it)

| lineageos, e/os/ or graphene. Literally everything else is either dead or in a barely working state.
Honorary mention of Resurrection Remix - they release once in a while, target a wide selection of old models with max possible backports possible for them. If your phone is old and dropped by everyone - resurrection is the best option. Not your case, but keep it in mind for the future. Just in case.

| Heard Graphene is good

| >>1092420 it is but it's google pixel 6-10 only (ironically best supported device line for foss android projects) and OP has an s24 ultra

| You have a learning disability

| I've been using Graphene as a daily driver for like 4 years now and while there's small annoyances compared to a stock pixel, it works like 95% of the things I need it for. It's good.
