I have an old laptop and I feel like torturing myself. What is the absolute worst OS to daily drive that is possible to daily drive. The bare minimum I need for classes is a modern Internet Browser, text editor, and docx editor, so no templeOS sadly.

OP, try Debian, Arch, Void, Slackware, Gentoo, Sourcemage, Lunar or any other independent distro (maybe bsd?) with console install and use suckless.org projects like dwm, st, dmenu (WM, VT and applauncher accordingly) which assume that all configuration should be done before compilation (yes, direct into source code, all of this to build your DE. >>1045271 nixos is so piece of known-substance, don't touch it, even for science (and/or challenge). >>1045438 Hope you'll change ur mind

>>1045348 no, I don't. I enjoyed Slackware for what it is even though it is archaic. I said it because there's a polish Linux youtuber who faps to Linux vs Windows, but Slackware filtered him, chewed him up and spit out. He's a balding toothless autist on a wheelchair in his late 40s. He believe that entire world can switch to Linux overnight.
