| so far all is well. been using this for a week now and nothing much has changed in life since i only use the phone to update wife and check on work mail and updates. vimusic and podcast apps work well enough. pretty much content with it.

got it because of design and the lack of google play services, so most of my apps on this device are FOSS. not sure about rooting because i never tried that yet.

did a speedtest on it and it went 100mbps on wifi, havent tried using data connection yet because havent bothered getting a plan for it yet but should be decent enough as its on 4G-LTE
| If it's 4G-LTE they're newer than I expected but I really like the idea of having a de-googled phone from the start.
Still waiting for a cheap OSS phone with hardware switches and decent battery life.

In VTM all the vampires use old flip phones because modern touch screens don't work on dead people and my hunter players started seeing flip phones as a potential masquerade break but I guess they're cool now... unless I FLIP the script on them.

| In past I like.. mm, a clamshell phone, I guess it called like this.
| 2 weeks of using this device, the transition is nice. the attention it garners not so much. calls and SMS communication feels a lot better than using social media apps and a lot more of my time is no longer me doomscrolling. hate the fact that i needed to use a not-so-dumb phone for social media detox but such is life.

pc/laptop isnt as distracting to me as they arent as portable as phones are
tho i was planning on getting a tablet for reading stuff (newspaper sucks and e-ink stuff look lifeless to me) but might be another youtube gateway.
