Most people use a phone for everything. A majority of internet users don't even own a computer. We are in the minority.
Those metrics count fleets of business PCs as part of the metrics, but there's no good way to measure jow many fleets of linux desktops there are because, well, privacy on linux is expected.
I think that linux desktops account for around 25% of systems, not 4%, and the number is only rising due to Microsoft's self-immolation (Windows 11 lol)
