| What's the latest in vtuber technology

| But I guess you're not important

| >>1003719 For Live2D, iPhone 10+ tracking is currently the best. Riggers have figured out an interesting way to make Live2D avatars lean forward & back, so the latest and greatest models out there now have lean physics.

| For 3D, the most technically impressive setup would have to be Hololive's newest 3D studio. 200 VK-26 motion capture cams. It's actually ridiculous. It's equipped with 4 mocap rooms, a greenscreen room, 2 recording studios, and one multipurpose studio. Each studio is being powered by Panasonic's KAIROS platform, which is like... what they use for big stuff like the Superbowl.

| For at-home 3D, most people are using Sony's mocopi mocap system. I'm not sure if it's the best out there, but it is getting to be pretty standard to see companies buy their talents mocopi. That kind of sums up what the latest developments are regarding vtuber tech.

| >>1003917 Interesting, I had no idea there was so much investment going into these studio setups

| >>1004132 mhmm. Each VK-26 is like $70k. The cost of accurate mocap in a studio that can support a large number of idols... It's insane the amount holo is reinvesting. Their new studio well surpassed $10mil in equipment costs alone, let alone the actual construction of the space.

| Being a scizo on the net is expensive

| >>1004191 Considering the insane money they pull in just through superchats, its a justifiable work expense: camera's and pro equipment generally retain value pretty well anyway compared to other technology, so it can be sold and used for the next upgrade
