I'm not a big fan of their new music, but I've heard that's an unpopular opinion. Is it?

Gorillaz change their sound constantly. Not in any drastic genre shifts, but enoigh to feel different every time. They rarely take the punk/hip-hop inspiration they used to, so those who liked that sound specifically mqy not be fond of their current pop/anti-pop sound

tbh The Now Now was probably their last REALLY good album

I'm fine with Gorillaz as they are, they always sound good. But I honestly haven't had an album I wanted to listen to more than once since Demon Days, with the exception of some tracks off of Plastic Beach.

I like how they evolve each time they drop but tbh nothing beats Plastic Beach
