It's edgy and stupid. Do you g/u/rls think we have a chance at selling it as an NFT? Or even splitting individual tracks into NFTs. Any tips?

oh yeah baby funge the SHIT outta those tokens or whatever it is you do with that garbage
seriously though, there's a bunch of processing fees associated with it so I'd not recommend it unless you have a worthy audience for your shitpost.

>>835317 Why would I regret selling literally nothing and getting money from it?

>>835571 >selling literally nothing and getting money from it There's a word for this. It's called "scamming". If you're cool with that you're an asshole, but whatever you want to be, op.

>>835688 Yeah, except it's not scamming because people know that they're buying nothing. NFTs don't trick anyone into anything. I personally think it's a completely pointless thing but if someone's willing to pay me for it then why not?

P.S. Scamming implies lying to people and tricking them into something and that's not the case with NFTs.

>>835756>>835757 Wrong. Because you're pretending like it has actual value. That's the point of NFTs. Pretending like some useless lines of code that waste whole power grids worth of power are worth something and then sell it to people who believe that lie. It's a scam and it's retarded. Just post your fucking music.

>>835762 The point is the same as the point of collectibles and luxury items. It just costs money because it's something unique even though it's not REALLY valuable. The concept of the thing or the concept of owning it is be valuable to someone but not the thing itself. I don't see a difference between buying an NFT and buying a rare but useless first edition of some discontinued trading card game. As I said, these things are pointless to me but to someone they have value.

>>836094 The difference is that it's not actually unique, people just pretend like it is when in reality those files are easily accessed by others. The other thing is that buying a trading card from someone you're usually either given it in person or just get it in a letter. But when transferring NFTs you're wasting more energy than a whole city block does in a month, which is fucking retarded. Literally just fucking up the world for others for some useless lines of code.

NFTs are the peak of retarded capitalistic scams that fuck up life for others for quick money but that people are trying to normalise. Supporting that shit is pathetic. Doing it yourself is worse. If you have any sort of integrity or intelligence you wouldn't. But if making the world even more expensive to live in for others and fucking up the environment just to scam some 15 year old out of their daddy's money is means that much to you then go for it ig

>>836111 Honestly never heard about the transferring problem. When you put it like that it really does seem like a bad idea. I guess we won't do it then. I never really researched NFTs, my friend just proposed this as an idea and I thought why not and decided to create this thread. I still don't see NFT as a scam but if it really does affect energy consumption in a way you describe then it would certainly be irresponsible to do this. I'll read about that, thanks for the info.

>>836168 Yeah, you should go do some research then. We might not agree on the scam thing, but I'm glad you're not, you know. One of those "monkey with hat png and fictional slave trading is worth ruining the environment for" kinda people.
