What's a dependable DAC
| I dont know much about ones using type C, just type A.
Theyre not just glorified dongles as long as you're buying a quality one and your headphones aren't going to bottleneck it. In general, a nice DAC is going to be better than the one built into your computer (nice probably costing around $150USD+). If your headphones are cheaper (<$300USD) it's likely they'll be bottlenecking your setup and it probably isn't worth buying a DAC.
