I was vibing to Simon and Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair when I found it's a rendition of Martin Carthy's version of the song, and that it itself is also just another version of a ballad called The Elfin Knight (btw Kate Rusby's version of that song is also good). Now I'm made aware of The Child Ballads and have listened to a couple, most recently The Heir O Linne. If any of you gurls listen to this genre, what do you recommend?
