Modern:
german-/"kraut-"rock, medieval rock, german pop music, german techno & electro, "Schlager/apres ski hits", Volksmusik
Notes:
"Volksmusik" is really disgusting, but quite popular for old people.
"Schlager" is pretty mainstream low-level party music.German pop but also rock music and techno/electro somehow became more and more like that on cost of quality.
