Weird Arcade Cabinet?

| So, I'm Kyle, I work at Craig's Oldies but Goodies. It's... well it's a bootleg retro game shop. It's pretty obviously a scam when you walk in, but that's not the focus.

We had someone come in and drop off a bunch of old arcade cabinets, and there was one that I've never even seen before. The paint was pealed in places so I couldn't make out what it's supposed to be, It doesn't seem to have any unique artwork, just the logo and this pale blue color.
I can't seem to read the logo.

| What does the splash screen say?

| oh no.

| I haven't actually thought of that, let me test that...
- Kyle

| Okay I got it running. But, I don't think I've ever heard of this...
- Kyle

| If it's called Polybius, leave it alone.
-Sierra

| Wh- The fuck did you know what it was called!? I hadn't even heard of this thing till today.
- Kyle

| Who brought it in? Did you find anything else? -Eia

| It was some uh... collector, seemed a bit crazed when he dropped it off actually. He was ecstatic to be rid of it actually, and my boss was even more happy to get it. Craig said something about restoring it, and making it a main attraction of the place, because of how addictive it was or something.

Is there something bad about that? I mean it's just an arcade game.

This is giving me terrible vibes. -Eia

| I'll play it. If it's any kind like the old boy had in his shop, I'm sure I can beat it in under an hour

Alright, let me tell you a story. 1981, Portland, Oregon. A new weird game machine appeared and quickly became the new popular thing among the teens. All of these players suddenly suffers all these weird and creepy side effects. Furthermore these machines are visited by men in black to collect some kind of data. Then, one month after its release, it suddenly disappears, no trace, nothing. That's the urban legend of Polybius.
-Sierra

| It's probably just some replica or something though, since the legend is most likely just that, legend. It supposedly became popular because the owner of the coinop.org submitted it to a magazine. But, you know, in case it *is* real, just leave it alone.
-Sierra

You're getting good at telling stories.
-Echo

Thanks, I learned it from Alix.
-Sierra

| It probably is a replica, but my boss seems keen on capitalizing on it. Even if it isn't a hoax, there's no way that bastard is skippin' on money.

Have your boss play it first, then if he isn't dead then let him capitalize on it.

So, I brought it up to him and he totally rejected the offer. He said somethin' like "I ain't playing the addictive demonic possessed arcade game, that's for the droves of idiots coming in wasting their quarters and souls on it!" So, that's that. I don't totally buy that it's possessed, but he seems to think it's a great "get-rich-quick" scheme.

Man, your boss's a greedy piece of shit.
-Echo

No shit. Tell us if kids get hurt. Maybe we can buy it off your boss's hand or something.
-Sierra

We can always cap his ass.
-Echo

Let's not... resort to that just yet.
-Sierra
