November- no sooner than the season of spooks concluded, the trees of the City That Shouldn't Exist shifted to a startling rainbow of reds and yellows... their foilage matching the glorious neon sunset...
For all of a few days.
Meteorologists are calling for an impressively early winter storm this season, sure to last through February unless something's done about the city's climate control system, or lack thereof.
The usual hazards are expected- slippery, blocked streets- low visibility, yellow snow. Mass transit in the form of elevated and magnetic rails will suffer the least, assuming they remain well staffed and not-sabotaged.
The GCPD sighs wearily and prepares to dig through the incoming weather for what are sure to be many desiccated, but well preserved bodies in the snow.
But there's at least one thing to look forward to... of mega proportions.
A spark.
